Found an old diary with notes of a walk up the magnificent Cader Idris we did when stopping for a few days around Dolgellau. Valerie got up to the lovely Llyn Cau on the Minffordd Track and I pushed on to the summit. It stuck in my mind this was the last time I imagined myself as a fell runner, as I pegged it downhill. After nearly becoming a medical statistic, I resigned myself to less frantic descents in future.
