Easy find with OS sketch using measurements from finger post and roadside. Fortunately the new post has been installed in same spot as old one.

(322) Parked up just inside Wooden Beck Hill road, and walked back to the junction. Though the grass has some length to it, it didn't take too long to find thanks to previous logs.

The first location of a three day, 24 trig point marathon session en-route to the Scottish Mega Event in Perth. This one took a bit of finding as the grass had grown somewhat and obscured it. Fortunately, I had a copy of the OS engineer’s hand drawn map so out came the 100 metre surveyor’s tape measure and a stainless steel ‘prodding rod’. I soon hit something hard and a few minutes digging with a trowel soon uncovered the surface block. I left this one uncovered so it may be easier for the next person to come looking for it. A country roadside location with nothing much in the way of views.

Easy to find as when passed early in the day another car was there and there was a tripod and satnav unit above rivet.

The rivet is still clear to see thanks to others' efforts. Just as well - I forgot my trowel and tape measure. The gravel area shown on the OS diagram seems to have been abandoned and grass and weeds are growing over it. GR to 10m only.

Armed with tape measure and trowel I arrived full of optimism till I saw the thigh high undergrowth. I found it after about 10 mins. The rivet irself was fairly exposed i.e. not buried. Don't be fooled by the OS paint mark on the road as it appeared the rivet was not in line with it but about a meter further north.

Couldn't easily find this one, and did not have sketch or tools with me. However someone has sprayed O/S on the roadside at the correct spot(according to GPS'r) in white paint. Will try again when i'm in the area next.
