Perfect trig point on a perfect evening with a beautiful sunset over the estuary and the moon rising. Church in the distance perfect end to a perfect day, good view all round.

(1000) My 1000th trigpoint visited and my 151st extant pillar. Parked up next to the start of the footpath near North Farm. Apparently the field containing the pillar is not owned by anyone in the immediate vicinity. Spotted two young Deer's whilst walking down to the pillar. After a brisk 5 minute or so walk, it was then a slight deviation from the footpath to the location. All good. Fine all-round views of the Humber and beyond. And if vistors (previous and future) are wondering what the concrete posts nearby are, they are the remnants of anti-glider obstacles dating from WW2. Pillar history: Built on the 15th of March 1939, at a cost of £4 16s 6d. Last maintained by the OS in May of 1987.

Drove by the farm then parked on grass verge. Up Row then across ditch at field access point then across ploughed field to trig.

D1-4 Farmer (Neil) was ploughing the field so when I asked him permission to visit the trig he offered me a lift in the tractor, and back to the track. No problem! View N of the white Withernsea lighthouse. The tractor, by the way, was automatic. At the flick of a switch the GPS took over the steering...

Visited with Painterman61 on 21 Trig day out,we were walking round the field boundary due to the footpath sawn with crops.The farmer was mowing is lawn & said you don't have to walk round,the footpath is through the crop field as on map.You have to follow footpath to get to the bridge over the Dyke,then follow tractor tracks to Trig

Short distance from right of way but in full view of farm, a tad worried and Mr TJR stayed on the right of way in case of any 'trouble'. A quick bag all in all on a significant high point for the area!

delightfull walk from NE along footpath along field boundary then south then back east up the western side along the tyre tracks in the crop lines to the top of a genuine hill, the highest point of the area at 30m. OS plug shallow indented letters.

(179) parked roadside and followed hedgeline then cut across tractor tracks to pillar which is located on a mound with two trees for company. vast views across to Withernsea and beyond. last one of 15 trigs bagged today

Awkward access, first along footpath and then across arable field following tractor tracks as much as possible. Fortunately the soil was dry! Original plug with slightly-indented letters. Traces of paint left. Sight holes below vegetation level. Good views to coast and surrounding agricultural land.

Take 3 pairs of muddy feet off the RoW to trespass on a very wet field with newly sprouting crop & risk the ire of the local farmer. Not today thankyou. Nice position adjacent isolated tree.

Old wreath still tied to the top. Lovely views of surrounding area and the sight of 4 US Air Force F15s repeatedly practising bombing runs over the Donna Nook East Coast bombing range. This was the last of nine trigs bagged today.
