Morning - Maidenhead Easter 10 Miles race. Afternoon walk along Thames, Lower Shiplake to Henley. Slight diversion on way home to visit this TP. Heading towards Reading, just past Dunsden sign, on curve can pull in car. Up small bank opposite and pillar is just a few metres in the wood to the left. Easy.

Parked on grass opposite trig point. Small gap in low hedge give access to wood. Be careful of traffic when leaving wood to get back across road.

Walked from boat tied above Sonning lock. Interesting mix of busy road, bridleways, paths and quiet lanes. Pillar lurking in brambles but not too hard to locate.

Parked on the dirt track SW of the trig point (the dirt track that leads to Cork's Farm). My partner stayed in the car just in case someone needed to get in / out of Cork's Farm. Found a small gap in the hedgerow, thankfully I had my gardening gloves and secateurs with me. I made a slightly bigger opening and got through the hedgerow. Walked along the woods until I finally found the trig point hidden in the woods. You'll have to look closely in order not to miss it. I had to do a lot of clearing of overgrowth with my secateurs before I was happy with the state of the trig. A lot of work to find a roadside trig! Original metal top cap.

One of the more unusual excuses for a little light trigging; returning a hat required for my investiture to the hat lady in nearby Caversham, so a minor diversion on the way there. Views v limited but sunny, very windy morning so good cloudscapes. Metal cap, shallow letters, all s/holes under accumulated years of leaf litter, vgc.

Bagged following a visit to Mapledurham House ( well you can't come back empty-handed can you ?) Parked near village sign and walked back. Pillar is in a bramble thicket in the woods, quite a lot of effort to find a pillar so close to the road !

Roadside location - just into the wood. Parking easy in a layby on the road 120m SW, access into the wood easy. Lot of saplings growing in the vicinity of the trig. Pillar is in good conditions. No views as in woodland.

This is tucked away behind a hedge between two small coniferous and deciduous plantations. The FB faces into the hedge so it was a little difficult to photograph. Metal plug with heavily indented lettering.

Hidden away behide a bunch of trees and bushes .. Right beside the road .. We didn't have a st of co-ords for this one as we had not planned a trip point run.. Found it on way back from PCGB regional meeeting - all we had was a OS map ..
