Parked in Westgate and added a few miles on to get to 3 Nuttalls and 3 trigs. Wise decision since the single track road where people usually park was similar to a slalom run. Proper winter conditions above 500m and had to work bloody hard with "taxi fare" on my back all the way around. I gift to MRT, various teams were called out over Christmas.

Arctic! Deep snow across the North Pennines, and our drive up from Newbiggin to Swinhope Head was not entirely without event...The Ski Lifts on the north side of the hill were in full operation, and it did occur to me it would have been a truly unique opportunity to reach an English TP via ski tow! However, I'm pretty certain the ski tow operators have rules forbidding the carrying of dogs, so Rosie and I walked in from the cattle grid at 607m as originally planned. Fabulous winter views almost all the way to the top, where, inevitably, the cloud was lurking. More fun afterwards driving back down to Newbiggin, the road by now resembling the Cresta Run!
