If anyone goes here and sees it please let me know. I will have to go back and update my log. The field was freshly ploughed at the time but it would be incredible if had disappeared since the previous log only in January. Expected it to be visible from the road and an easy find. Spent about twenty minutes searching, walked to the far end of the track where farm machinery and other clutter was dumped. Looking at other photographs I’m pretty sure I was in the right place. Not a good hit rate today. Guess it goes like that sometimes.

Good farm vehicle track now runs from TM 4265 5525. Followed this until near due W of trig then along tractor lines through field of ripening red onions to trig. Pillar has some cracking to the top screed and an off-set spider; original top cap missing, no plug; RHD side sight hole open. 360deg views a little limited to SE.

Parked opp entrance to field track! Walked down to edge of field short walk from here, carrots in ground saw farmer on way out took no notice.

Would have struggled here without g p s as trig is a field of maize currently 2 metre high . Found it in a small clearing .

The track shown on the O.S map is now straight and not curved,so the Trigpoint is about 70m in the field from the track.

Track on 1:25k has gone to be replaced by a parallel one 120m to the west. Pillar very visible from the road. Follow this track to the end of the first field, follow the field boundary in and cross the last 10m to the pillar.
