Walked up from the campsite and took a circuitous route round hill then up to trig - easily seen before approach - fantastic views and a great walk to boot.

Enjoyable midday wander directly up from Gairloch after a fun trip over to Longa Island in the morning. First point of interest on a cross country route over to the main road via Meall Deise whilst the others spent a few hours visiting Eilean Horrisdale.

Lovely meander up here. Not my first visit to here but the first time I’ve traversed the bog without getting my feet wet!

Approached from south. Free public car park on south side of road by shops at NG796773 but get here early because it gets busy through the day. Walked the unclassified Mihol Road to roadend compound at NG797784. A crossing over the barbed fence using carpet and tyres gives access to the open hill. Crossed the dry bog then followed a sheep path through the bracken which leads to the left (west) shoulder of the hill then swung right and climbed to the summit. Pillar in good condition. Spider centre open. Flush bracket faces WSW, compass measurement 243°. Vented through back sight hole. Full 360° panoramic view.

Had an absolute nightmare finding this one. Followed footpath north from the church, turned left and skirted the north east edge of the field. Couldn't see the trig in the undergrowth from the east so eventually found the same crossing as others in the north corner west corner of the field. 2 rows of barbed wire made this tricky and soon noticed I did indeed cut my hand. Was able to find the trig from the western field deep in the hedge and behind bw fence. I would recommend trying a different route to access the field.

Drove to the top of the minor road and parked in the farm yard after asking permission from the crofter. He pointed out the best way to go and 15 minutes later, we were on top. Fine little summit with extensive views. With Nozzer.
