Parked on Matford lane at start of footpath, limited space. Walked footpath from this side to trig point, lots of cows. The trig is on the northeast side of the fence hiding behind the bushes. Didn't shay long too many cows crowding me.

Had a run up here from my hotel in Exeter, along the river and back. Lovely views from the trig, which is partly buried in the hedgerow.

Driving from the east after crossing the Exe at Lower Wear, turned south towards Dawlish and pulled in at the Texaco filling station. Asked if was ok to leave my car there for about twenty minutes, no problem. Over the busy road to track then footpath up onto hill. Steady but fairly short climb through paddock. Pillar in tree line at the top. FB faces east. Would have to climb the fence to get to the west side so didn’t trouble with that. Good views across Exeter, not very exciting.

I approached from South West end of footpath near masts up lane from Exminster, which I found much easier and involved less climbing. Panoramic views.

Great views over flat land stretching for miles, trig in a good spot next to the tree line. Trig pillar is on North eastern side of the fence field boundary, aka facing Countess Wear.

Easy bag with good views over exeter. Parked on a layby on A379, then used a footpath, up a grassy hill to a 2nd gate, going left along hedge to the trig.

Excellent views towards Countess Wear. Parked on Pearce's Hill bridge over the M5 and walked down. Easier than walking up from the A379.

A pleasant little haven on the outskirts of exeter with commanding views of all parts of the city. If it ever snows enough in Exeter, bring your sledge here! Widget had great fun chasing rabbits and burrowing!

Pillar looks ok, and as a bonus for South Devon there is even access to it via a footpath ! Fairly interesting place too, as it offers a pretty wide view over Exeter and down the Exe.
