An easy climb, fabulous weather and tremendous 360 views (apart from the radio mast, 'obvs')

Climbed up from the north-east. As I approached the summit I was somewhat perplexed & disappointed to see FOUR white vans parked there! I certainly didn't expect that. Two BT men were part way up a mast replacing a satellite dish, and I was asked to keep leeward of the working area 'in case anything fell from the mast' - so had to wait 20 minutes before inspecting pillar 10759, the first of this type I've seen, being a relative novice. Chatted to one of the men who admitted 'another five minutes would have done for me', and he explained that he'd had to remove his gloves because he couldn't grip the tools necessary for fastening the dish. But then the intense cold almost prevented him from completing the task. Such commitment to the absolutely necessary cause of mobile phone use, he laughed! I then strolled down the easy track side of Morrone leaving winter behind and re-entering spring.
