Parked at the start of the track at the bend in the road. Followed track for short distance pillar over the edge on the right hand side. Handy little gap been cut so you can pass through. Replacement centre cap fitted

Logged for WAB Ham Radio. Contacted 7 stations. Access up the lane for a vehicle is suitable really only for a 4wd. Extremely deep ruts to one side of track. Theres a gap in the hedge but wear thornproof clothing else walk about 50m down lane and back on hedge side in very soft mud.

Hole in hedge Oct visit so mud everywhere and thorny hedge.

3rd visit. The cereal crop has been harvested since I passed on Wednesday morning. Over one gate by junction of ROW and road, circle barns and an easy stroll up the hill through stubble and in welcome shade from hedge. Just outside hedgeline in field. Expecting a grey horizon in the heat, but the towers of central Birmingham, Barr Beacon and Cannock Chase easily seen.

Bagged on way home from visiting mates at malverns. Thought this was going to be an easy one, but it wasn't. Trig not visible from track, had to negotiate two hedges in a rather undignified manner. Itchy.

Parked on Austrey Lane. Walked up a path called Salt Street. Then climbed through a gap in the hedge, crawled underneath some barbed wire, and then stepped over another set of barbed wire. This got me into the trig field, and then I walked up to the pillar which can be found near the same hedge.

The objective for today - drive from Alnwick to Coventry and bag one Trig Point in each county we pass through en-route. Planned a route to take in 14 Trigs in 14 different counties. This was #13 of 14, and my first ever 'tick' in Warwickshire. Memorable mostly for the fly-tipped rotten carpet and underlay along the bridleway; not for the first time today a hedgerow pillar defended by nettles and brambles, one to be done in the winter rather than high summer I'd suggest...

re-visit. Refreshed with a rest and a fizzy drink from the village shop in Austrey cycled up PROW which is like concrete at present. Gap in hedge not now readily usable. A further gap leads easily into the next field, but then a tricky gap into correct field. Far easier to skirt barns by the road/PROW junction and walk up field margin. Could see Birmingham, Clent Hills and tops of Clee Hills. A baking sunny afternoon.

Logged some time ago - but going nowhere far now so another log by bike. Only seven miles from home - a bit steep and rough on the track from No Man's Heath - good job it's dry. Good views on a sunny day. I continued along Salt Street to the mast - this really is a rough track with pot holes two foot deep in places - some filled with water - it would be impassable by bike in wet weather. At one point I nearly got mowed down by two young chaps on motor bikes with L plates.

Not easy to find on RHS of track up from No-Mans-Heath. Lots of undergrowth so could only get to within about 3ft of touching this through hedge, crops in field on other side so na access

Easy walk along the track to this one, Pillar not visible this time of year, so a hedge explore required. Pillar is in good condition and located on the south side of the hedge. farmland views.

Caching in the area, and I took a short diversion along the track to have a look at this pillar . Midsummer is possibly the worst time to attempt to get through the hedge here, the pillar and the gap to it were hard to spot, but determination, tough trousers and long sleeves got me past the thorns, over the trip wire and then through the barbed wire with hardly any skin lost. The pillar is undamaged, concrete plug in the top, and good views to the side away from the hedge.

Walked up track from No Man's Heath. Nearly bowled over by half a dozen cyclists! There was a jacket with "SECURITY" printed on the back hanging in the hedge by the pillar.

Walked up large track and straight past the gap in the hedge then back tracked. Managed it through the hedge without losing too much hair and across the barbed wire fence nae bother - mainly as one of the fence posts was loose and easily flattened.

Plenty of space to park at track end. Walked uphill and trig obvious through gap in hedge, which along with the 2 strand barbed wire fence can be negotiated if needed. Trig looks a bit sad hedged in to a corner with the wire. Hill surprisingly prominent from village side but less so in other directions.

I was in the area grabbing the caches in the Austrey Amble Series and I made a slight detour from Number 15 to bag this Trig. I managed to squeeze myself through a hole in the hedge and wriggle my way through the barbed wire fence without causing too much damage to myself.

Entered field through hedge (and under barbed wire) from footpath to the East, where I was passing by on a geocaching trail. Good view back SW down to Newton Regis, although somewhat hampered by freezing fog today.

No need to nip through the (rapidly closing) gap in the hedge as previously suggested. Going a bit further up the lane gives easier access to the adjacent field then a walk along the hedge line brings you to a fenced gap in that hedge which can be easily and relatively safely climbed. Then its a short walk across the field to the pillar.

Easy parking at bottom of the lane. Access up lane and through hole in the hedge that only the Trig point baggers could have made - shame on us. Pull the loose branch out, nip through and admire the view East from Warwickshire over to Staffordshire. Always nice these No Mans Heath locations.

Easy walk up green lane from the village. Not easy to find as it is behind a quite dense hedge on the right as you walk up lane. Once spotted you could just squeeze through hedge up to barbed wire fence running alongside it. Nice views on one side only.

Ignore the track. Enter the compound with the barn at the junction of the track and No Man's Heath to Austrey road, then it's another gate and an easy walk up the field, without squeezing through the hedge.

An easy walk along the green lane to the summit of the hill and the pillar is in the field on your right, just a quick nip over the fence. There is an asphalt plug replacement; N sighthole open, others closed. No paint. Concrete base visible all round at grass level. On the edge of a pasture field with good southern views.

Excellent views South towards B'ham. From field accross the lane, excellent views North as well. Trig is located in field to the South of the lane. You will see an opening into another field and from in there, you can look back along the hedge and you will see a very proud pillar. Good condition.

Third one this morning and all contiguous numbers. Quite a 22xx cluster near Nuneaton. The OS map is confusing. What looks like a narrow filed is a green lane, Salt Street, and is drivable from No Man's Heath. This is a drive up, except for the fact that the pillar is over the hedge and you know which way the plate faces. I walked up.Pillar in good conditon but has a concrete/asphalt plug replacement.
