Variety of paths to NE to Plane Tree Hill. As others hopped over fence for Flush Bracket. Continued SE, crossed Bayton Lane and path S to Jubilee Hall. 7km of sun and mud.

Parked at the entrance to the reservoir. The pillar is built into a fence / wall to a field next to the reservoir. There is a wall on one side, and a wooden fence on the other. As the flush bracket is field side, needed to climb over the fence to get a photo of it. Spectacular view of Leeds Bradford International Airport from the summit of Plane Tree Hill

(2196) Parked down Moorlands Avenue and walked to the trig. Got a couple of unexpected BMs along the way. Pillar easily reached, and it's a slightly unusual one, as it has been incorporated into a field wall/fence line. All good, though once again the centre cap is non original. Pillar history: Built on the 2nd of July 1937, at a cost of £4 13s 2d. Last maintained by the OS in August of 1986.

Quick lunchtime local bag. The car park/hardstanding next to the water treatment compound is locked with a very stout metal gate, so there is only room to squeeze a car in front of it off the busy road. Quick walk up along the compound and then field fence, and the trig is part of the field boundary, wedged between a wall and a fence. Pillar in excellent condition, and has great views over the airport and runway, and is a very easy bag.

Strange people obsessively collecting numbers, but enough about me. Not really like Great Shunner with it's wall trig (we drove out round the block and back again before we spied the trig). Plan had been to do Otley Chevin, fabulously awful hail clouds and a wild sky cancelled that. Travelling from Manchester up to Scarborough the leisurely way. Also see Bishop Wilton trig on the way - not logged because of my annoyance about the fence!

Trig with litter not included, see a red kite above the car park - one of the Harewood flock, must make a point of paying to get in there sometime as a thank you

A blink and you'll miss it Trig Point is this one. I walked past it first time due to being more concerned about the airport security Land Rover at the time. But after retracing my steps, there it was, in between the fence and wall. Didn't manage to get the number on the Flush Bracket as it was facing the other way which would have meant scaling the fence - which I certainly wasn't prepared to do with the airport security about! A grim day for the first day of the year, bagged this Trig after bagging the Trig at near by Billing Hill after walking up from Horsforth railway station. Another two Leeds Trig Points bagged! Parked on waste ground which did seem like an unofficial dumpit site as well as unofficial viewpoint for the airport. Pillar is in surprisingly good condition and now built in to the N outer wall of the reservoir compound. Beware of deep potholes, it may be better to park by the entrance on Baydon Lane. Views good, especially of planes taking off and landing, as appreciated by others in parked cars.

Visited this spot god knows how many times as an aviation enthusiast over the last 40 years, but even though I have been logging trg points for several years failed to note this one or photograph it!! Rubbish is a major issue here due to nearby Fish and Chip takeaway and in considerate people. Trig Point itself is walled in on one side, fenced in on other. Gave average rating due to rubbish and fact its boxed in, good spot for watching aircraft from though.

I wonder if the OS when naming this had psychic visions about planes.This place is a dump litter and mud everywhere, people pull up in cars to watch the airport then sling there empty coke bottles/cans empty fast food packets on the deck its a real dive.Fb 118 118 whats your number! Parked at the motel in Yeadon and walked up. Area very muddy, with a few plane spotters around, looks like people use area for 4x4 rallying despite warning notices. I actually felt cool being a trig bagger today, which of course we are. Trig in good condition, nearly missed it as it forms part of the wall at the compound now. No access issues but if you want to see the flush bracket it faces into the compound so you would have to get over the fence to do so.

Park your car near the entrance to the car park as it is extremely rutted. Car park full of sad obsessive people logging aeroplanes,ticking their logs.They should get a more interesting hobby

Log #17. (220m). Logged while doing 2 mile circular trig bagging walk for this and Billing Hill. Nice day, nice clear view from here to The Billing. Too many planes and too many plane spotters ! agh !

Trig in a hideous car park overlooking Leeds & Bradford Airport; shamefully sandwiched between a wall and fence but with reasonable views beyond.

Easily found trig, next to the wall in the gateway to the Yorkshire Water compound. This sad little trig sits in a most depressing place, however the views over Leeds/Bradford aiport do go a little way to make up for it, if you're plane spotter that is, which most of the other occupants of the car park seemed to be.

A good site for plane spotting (or wrecking your suspension if you arrive by motor vehicle). Pillar forms end of stone wall and you need to climb barbed wire fence to view flush bracket. Stark contrast between the location of this pillar and the one at Billing Hill, which is less than 1 km away.

Easy access. Up rough track, parking area, to reservoir. Pillar is situated at end of wall, which blocks one side. Flush bracket up agains barbed wire fence and top has plastic plug. Views over Leeds/Bradford Airport

Not much litter but very rutted surface. Hidden as the end of a wall round the back of the enclosure with good plane spotter views of the airport

Easy to find just off a minor road near Leeds-Bradford Airport at the end of a wall in an informal parking/plane-spotting area. Some trigs stand proud atop magnificent peaks; this one cowers by the wall ashamed to be associated with its litter-strewn home.

Little to add to John Riley's log, still as dirty and litter strewn - just around the corner from Scotland !!. On todays visit - gloroius weather, sun in abundance, temperatures of, well at least 25C plus, would you believe that at least 8 car users were 'enjoying the view' from inside their motorised chariots!! What a bunch of total ...................

This looks like a place to watch aircraft during the day and I dread to think what goes on in this dirty, litter strewn car parking area at night. The trig is in good order considering its situation although it has been used as a convenient wall end feature.
