Couldn’t find it. Maybe the Berntsen is hidden under the bag of road grit?
TP0628 Approximate position where the berntsen should be located.

Although the stone was in place, it was covered by soil and grass. Took a little while to find.

Looked to be recently uncovered - great for us as we had no tools with us! Next to red plastic bottle at the moment but a fair wind could change that. As per previous log - 2m from small tree, 2.5m from newly installed cabinet (not our measurements). With Coinneach Hutch.

Bagged while waiting for car to be serviced at nearby North Petherton, I thought this would be easier than it was as Berntsen was buried again.

In dark but main problem is the pile of soil covering it. Dug out successfully but may need digging out again when works finished. 2m from small tree, 2.5m from newly installed cabinet.

Raining and getting dark, needed to find this fast, and I did using the 4.6m measurement and prodding in an arc. Light covering of grass etc, quickly cleared and on to the FBM.

This little tacker tooks ages to find even with the handy photos and details by previous visitors. The warm weather has caused fantastic grass growth. I looked most peculiar sweeping the grass with my flip-flopped feet.

Easy to find using photos from previous posts (thanks guys). I would imagine in the height of summer this will be overgrown. Not much to say about this one just another one bagged.

Screw missing, but OK. This really is the best time of year for Berntsens, short grass.

The Bernsten was easily visible on the verge and was reached by crossing the road from the former site of the Melcombe rivet. Glimpses of the wooded hill of Cannington Park, Bridgwater and the western reaches of the Mendips through the nearby hedgerows but no real view compared to its neighbour over the road.

Easily located. Screw missing on Bernsten so I could take a sneek peek inside - see photograh aside. This must be one of the few places where there are 3 trigs within 100 feet of each other.
