Difficultly in finding the pillar as itís hidden in a hedge row of which there are several. Take the frog fire NT path from the high and over car park at Seaford and walk west. The muddy field is difficult to enter, had to clamber over an old fence. On the map the red spot marks it.

Parked at the High and Over car park (TQ 5091 0110). Took the RoW along Cradle Down. A little tricky getting to the pillar. Located in a wide, sparse elderberry hedgerow that can be walked into and out the other side. Pillar retains an original top cap, lightly indented lettering; rear sight hole open. Regained the RoW and walked on to the Denton Hill pillar.

Walked from Frog Firle car park. Cross road from C.P and a short footpath opposite connect to the bridleway along Cradle Hill. this short footpath is not marked on the O.S map. When you reach to junction of the Bridleways walk back southeast along the track and to access the trig field through a thin hedge line, walk the field boundary northwards to trig .

A tricky one, and the hardest of my day - I like the idea that it's shy. It's well buried in the hedge and you really need a GPS to find it. I scrambled up from the track to the north, walked along the hedge through a recently cut corn field. Exited more easily walking along the field boundaries to a more easy duck through to the path. Looks in good condition but you can't get very close.
