Well this was a fun one to end the day on! Found gap in the pathside nettles beside the wood that separates the wheatfield from the golf course. Barbed Wire fence was low at this point thanks to a fallen branch. Picked my way through the dense undergrowth till I emerged into the field, and followed the edge till it stopped ascending. At this point I'm grateful to whichever previous nettlewhacker made the trig visible through the foliage. Grabbed quick set of photos and picked my way back through the wood as swiftly as I could (not very swiftly). This is probably the shortest route to the pillar from the main track, and though it's very overgrown, this 6 foot 2 fat bloke made it through OK. Suggest sturdy clothes and a big stick for nettlewhacking are a must for taking this route, though! Pillar in good condition under a lot of dirt.

Third pillar this morning. From Denton headed mainly east along footpaths through Poverty Bottom, Norton Bottom and Devilsrest Bottom. Cut a corner crossing Seaford Golf Course onto bridle path overlooking Rathfinny Estate. Followed the path south east, where the bushes on the right end the path divides and there is a track to the right alongside a field to the right. On the other side of the field is a parallel hedge running east to west where the pillar is well hidden, particularly at this time of year by lush vegetation. A couple of locals, one of whom said they knew the area well said there was no trig point around here. So it was a rewarding find, worth extra point. No views from the pillar, but good views from nearby paths.

A tricky one, and the hardest of my day - I like the idea that it's shy. It's well buried in the hedge and you really need a GPS to find it. I scrambled up from the track to the north, walked along the hedge through a recently cut corn field. Exited more easily walking along the field boundaries to a more easy duck through to the path.
