Parked at St. Luke's Church and walked up Peelings Lane. Climbed over the fence at the end of the wood and walked across the rough pasture field to the pillar. Very good views of the South Downs from here. A very bright and sunny day but icy-cold.

From Peelings Lane, over BWF at S corner of field. Through the grass and weeds to the obvious trig. Back at path spend 10 mins removing the grass seeds from socks & shoes.

From lane closed to vehicles , over bw fence opposite trig and then over weedy grass field to obvious trig in centre ( ish) of field. Brambles on side but not top. Brambles cleared from fb side.

Close to Stone Cross, just off a pathway closed to motor vehicles, visible on the far side of a field. Reasonable views towards Downs in the west. Engulfed by brambles, had to clear to view the flush plate.

Climbed over gate into the field, marked as private, where the pillar was located. Although in the middle of a field and the top of a small hill, no real views to speak of due to hedgerows and trees.

Walked from.home during COVID 19 lockdown. Nice bit of woodland begins Stones Cross church, luckily and large tree had faen down across and bamrbed wire fence enabling me to 'walk the plank across tree/fence and into field. Co times on 1066 Country Walk.

Final trig of 18 for the day. Parked in church car park. Plenty of tracks through the woods - well used by youths and dog walkers. Over the fence at TQ 6170 0453 and across a pasture/paddock to trig. Original centre cap retained, lightly indented lettering; rear sight hole open. Some views westward.

Parked in Dallaway Drive which connects to the lane behind the houses. Crossed over the fence at the corner of the wood and lane. The field had no livestock and is long grass and thistles. Disturbed a fox on route to trig point.

There's something slightly odd about this pillar. If you view it from the back there is a bulge in it! I don't think the mold was quite straight when it was built. Never seen that before.

Just south of the Eastbourne bypass, access over fence off footpath. In arable field surrounded by blackberry briars. Original plug with slightly-indented letters. No paint except for some red on the flush bracket. No real views.

On a raised mound in an arable field. We hopped over the fence and had no problems with access (no farm buildings nearby). Plug with indented lettering.
