Corner of Hollinwell Close and Turnberry Drive In residential area, parking adjacent, though we walked. Slightly weedy, and in cobbles. Housing estate apparently designed around it, nice to see.

(861) Visiting family in Hinckley, so put aside some time to bag some local trigs. Had hoped to do at least a few more, but it was such an incredibly hot stifling day, that my energy levels was quickly drained. Did manage to pop over the border into Warwickshire to visit this unusual pillar. Good to see another urban pillar preserved. Pillar history: Built on the 10th of November 1938, at a cost of £4 1s 8d. Last maintained by the OS in July of 1978.

Fortune found me with a few hours to kill in this area due to chauffeuring some friends to the Rolling Stones' gig at Coventry's Ricoh Stadium. Odd to find a pillar in such fine fettle in such a built-up area!

Having spent the last 45 minutes driving through Nuneaton housing estates, here is the ultimate - a trig in a housing estate! Nice to see someone thought about it when the estate was built, as it is well sited on a corner and in excellent condition - asphalt cap, S s/hole open.

Possibly the weirdest location for a trig pillar I've come across so far, and a (literal) concrete symbol of how the countryside is being engulfed by houses. Still, it's good to see the pillar neatly preserved on its own little cobbled patch of pavement. I parked within three paces and was able to keep the camera dry despite the rain by the simple expedient of rolling down the car window and taking photos while still sitting in the drivers seat.

Parked just off Lutterworth Road on Meadowside and took a walk around the housing estates. The pillar is on Turnberry Drive and just off the footpath and doesn't appear to be on private property. Tigged it and moved on. Good condition and great to see this has survived. In summary one of the easiest bags ever and an unusual one too, although there are no views. Also a new trig county for me, hello Warwickshire!

Concrete Plug, FB W side, open sight S. Neibouring white van present today. Thought it was straight forward to find - used current 1:25000 map. Still amazed to find it survived in a 1980's housing estate. No longer any rays available, but wouldn't have any today as it was misty.

One of the easiest ever! On a patch of stone setts on the right side of Turnberry Drive, right outside someone's house. No paint in eveidence - why don't the locals adopt it?? There is a concrete plug replacement. All sightholes closed. Quite a lot of blobs of lichen growing on it. Considering how many pillars get uprooted when housing estates are built, it's amazing that this has survived!

White van man not at home so no problems finding this one tonight. Without the white van present there is a clear view of the flush bracket which whose numbers have been highlighted in white.

In a newish housing estate, my map has it in fields. Took some finding, as it was obscured by a white van. The streetmap map suggested that it was in the garden of No.41 Turnbury Drive, so I gave it up as lost. Before leaving, I wandered over the road, and there it was beside the pavement. Its in good shape, just a concrete plug replacement.
