This has a slight lean, but it is otherwise undamaged. Hence, I would suggest changing the status of this to slightly damaged

Parked in lay-by on east side of A16 about half a mile west of Swaby. Along footpath a few metres to north of lay-by. Through gate and then over stile into field. Footpath clear between crops. Followed path to far side of field to north, caught a glimpse of top of pillar to west when crossing the field. Followed field boundary until reaching a tractor trail through the crop, couldn’t quite see the pillar from that side of the field so had to guess. Almost right, misjudged by about ten metres. Pillar leaning slightly, possibly evidence of attempt to remove it. Views across farmland. Spider and cap in place.

(156) And the last one for the day. Found the location easily enough, and parked up near Swaby Village Hall. Alas the field still had crop growing so getting close was a problem, and I didn't want to risk the wrath of the landowner. Could see at least half, or the top third, of this pillar but only from a good distance. Will revisit at some point, to fully complete this log. 22/7/2017 EDIT: And struck lucky today heading home, as the crop had been harvested, so was able to tick this one off the list. Pillar history: Built on the 11th of June 1938, at a cost of £5 9s 9d. Last maintained by the OS in March of 2000.

The farmer had cut the crop, but had left the cut crop in the field making going along the ROW interesting. But it was also easy access the leaning Trig.

Third of two trigs visiting uni mate. Cycled out from Oxcombe on the Bluestone Heath Road in fog and mist and took bridleway off Pinfold Lane followed by footpath to trig. Trig in middle of field so it was easily spotted standing at an angle. Has it been moved? Misty day so views were limited.

Another trig in a large Lincolnshire field, visible from the A16, but a closer approach can be made from the footpath that runs north from the west end of White Pit. Part of the field that slopes towards the wood is not cultivated because of very stony ground. I have logged it as damaged as it has a distinct lean, possibly nudged by a tractor wheel as I couldn't see other damage.
