Easy spot as small hole in turf - no measuring needed. Removed a larger square of turf to reveal all of the block and a rod-style rivet. Turf replaced, leaving just the small tell-tale hole. 1" bolt in concrete block.

Park Run in progress so a lot of dodging runners was required in between serepditious digging. Rod type rivet. Found 10cm deep.

Rod marker in block 4" down. Found in depression as per Arnand directions thanks. Or 4.7m in line with front seaward edge of bench base then 2m towards sea.

Found this passive station Block on OS website at http://gps.ordnancesurvey.co.uk/viewpassiverec1.asp?recnumber=C1TR1267 not visited yet but will check it out in the next couple of weeks. Update 16/10/10 not too difficult to find. Small green screwhead like block found in small depression 480cm from NE corner of concrete base of second bench at a bearing of about 285 degrees
