Accessed East from the trig on B3179 road, kept to verge to avoid crops. Trig on a wall (not shown on my OS map?) at the top of the field. The trig itself better accessed from the North western field by hopping over the metal gate then turning left. Trig above a barbed wire fence, with a large crack in the plinth. Wear trousers (I didn't) as there are lots of nettles but also a flip ton of water hemlock to be wary of (late May).

As I parked in entrance drive to farm opposite, owner arrived. She also was the owner of land on which Trig stands. I explained my purpose, she had no idea what a Trig was although she immediately knew what I meant and was quite happy for me to walk up the field to find it and explained exactly where it was.

Dropped caching friend off to find some nearby caches which I had found previously, and drove around the lanes to park in small layby by farm entrance. Walked along the busy road for a couple of minutes, and luckily spotted a way up the verge and bank into a drilled?grass/winter corn field following GPS arrow. Decided to walk to trig with the field hedge on my right along edge of ploughed field and soon spotted the trig high above the bank commanding excellent Devon countryside views all around. On this side the trig is getting covered by ivy growth and looks a bit damaged by previous hedgetrimming, but the views are amazing!

Wonderful Devon countryside!
