Second 09:52 (and third 15:16) visits today, as starting point (and then ending point) for revisit of Hart Fell. Started off as per our first visit Oct '23, onward route over Great Hill, Chalk Rig Edge, Whitehope Heights to Hart Fell. Second visit of the day was entirely different approach - having descended Hart Fell SW to Ericstane we walked N to Corehead and then took the 'Strait Step' path up the Beef Tub to rejoin the Annandale Way in the col between Annanhead Hill and Great Hill. If you choose this route from the S be aware that the 'Strait Step' itself (and you'll know it when you get to it) is not for the faint-hearted!!! ~~ 12/10/23 In retrospect I wish I'd saved this for a longer walk out to Hart Fell - that looks like an amazing route - so a revisit at some point is inevitable! Its still a fine little Trig Point in its own right however.

Heading up to Broughton for the weekend so a stop off to bag this TP was always on the cards. Ample parking close to the Annandale way on the A701 which gives easy access to the trig. Great views from the Trig but an even better view over the Devils Beef Tub a short walk away.

The Trig Somebody has gone to the trouble of placing a nice bench close to the trig so seems rude not to sit and take in the view. ©TrevSym
