The trig is now completely enclosed except from a very narrow (and spiky) path to it. Managed to squeeze in (with swearing) to get an FB pic and establish the sightholes, but another year will probably have this pillar unreachable! FB faces north-ish, east-ish and west-ish sightholes are open. Cap is missing and the hole is unplugged. Lovely views away from the gorse!

Beware that it is on the water side of the path unlike what is shown on the current explorer map! Only three years after the pillar was a brilliant white (see Rob's photo) it is well on its way back to plain old concrete. The gorse is also swallowing it up again and killing the immediate view. However this small headland is well worth walking around on a clear day though. Views across the water are tremendous and I spotted seals basking today. It might also be interestingly exposed in a winter storm!
