Circular walk from town centre up to pillar, prominent on high point and looking pristine in fresh coat of white paint. Calm, clear day gave excellent views of hills on the Lleyn, the sweep of Snowdonia and down the coast to Rhinogs and Cadair. Now off to Porthmadog travel lodge to catch the last throes of the England/Fiji rugby world cup quarter final match.

Parked on road just below the college. Opposite the college is a prow which we followed and trig soon becomes visible. Great views over Pwllheli

The first of a handful on the Lleyn Peninsula on a sunny, windy day. Straightforward yomp up from the town centre. First view of the trig quite impressive. A good path has been created to get to the pillar which offers excellent views as already described.

Great vista. Pwhelli harbour and West End Parade, St. Tudwal’s Islands , Criccieth and Harlech castles. Snowdonia range, Rhinogs and across the bay to Cader Idris.

One of "The Infamous Five" visited today on the peninsula. I rather like the pillars that "tower" above towns. Sentry duty comes to mind. A short circular walk from the town and a joy to find it wasnt strewn with litter. Not one piece. Gifted to the very, very humble/simple key device we have in our packs or bum bags. If used could save a lot of grief too many.

Called in on our day trip along the Cambrian Coast railway from our holiday base in Shrewsbury. Only had a couple of hours so not a lot of time to do much. Short walk from the town centre with good 360 degree views.

Managed to park just north of college at roadside. Its then just a short walk on the footpath to trig point. Great views over the town.

Parked, as others, in college car park on Allt Salem. Short walk on RoW initially, then clear path through gorse etc to trig sitting atop a rocky outcrop with surprisingly extensive views over the local area. Pillar, vgc on plinth, retains original top cap with raised lettering; rear sight hole open.

Bagging Geocache YSM314 Garn Pwllheli My notes said "Nice easy walk from collage CP (52° 53.463'N 4° 25.415'W)" It was a lovely walk but a little steep in places but it was getting late in the day and day 2 of the YOSM adventure in North Wales, if it was the first walk of the day you would probably say "easy"! Great views from the trigpoint on a lovely day.

Nice easy pillar with great views in the late sunshine. Must be the only pillar you can see from a Wetherspoons. If you stand outside The Pen Cob next to the station in Pwelleli it's only just over a quarter of a mile away.

Metal plug [raised letters]. Permissive. Hill is private land belonging to the property Y Garn, but public footpath runs across it, with permissive path from this to trig on rocky outcrop. Easy walk up from Pwllheli town, by either Allt Salem or Penlon Llyn.

Took a while to find the path leading to the Trig as there was no Public footpath sign. The trig was in vgc and all intact. Very bad storm when I visited so view from Trig terrible!
