2nd pillar of a 3 trig walk, which started with Linn Park Golf Course (AKA dog city). After all the dogs in Linn Park, Cathkin Braes was much quieter, with better trained owners and only one uncalled for encounter. This trig did not quite have the views that Linn Park had, with trees around it but it was still good. There was some damage to the flush bracket. From here, I continued to Cathkin Braes TP

Approached from north, steady cycle up the B766 along the cycle path. At roundabout, straight on, heading south east. About 100 metres beyond the roundabout is a tall gate on the left into the field. Through gate and uphill across grass field following worn path. At the top, pillar is visible on the other side of a wire fence, but it is accessible through a gate a little to the east of the pillar and then a short walk back again. Spider and new cap in place. Slightly damaged flush plate, either deliberate attempt to remove some of the numbers or accidental from power tools cutting grass or hedge. Thick vegetation on north east side of pillar, good views in other directions although unobscured views on the other side of the fence. Seems to be some sort of nature reserve, quite a few paths going in different directions. From here headed east to Cathkin Braes.

A New Years Day walk in Cathkin Braes, came across this trig almost hidden in the woodland. I didn't know it was there, I didn't know anything about trig pointing or trig bagging, but a google search for more info when I got home revealed a whole new world to me! I've walked in the hills for decades, I've now got a new purpose to walking. And new walks or perspectives are opening up. So here I am now on TrigpointingUK.
